Memorial Lutheran scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 73-46 win over Family Christian at home. With that win, Memorial Lutheran brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
David Porter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 39 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Memorial Lutheran's points. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Smith, who scored 15 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Memorial Lutheran and bumps their season record up to 10-5. As for Family Christian, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Brazosport Christian the next time they take the court. Memorial Lutheran will host Brazosport Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Family Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
