After flying high against Penns Valley Area last Friday, Bishop Guilfoyle came back down to earth. The Marauders took a 28-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richland Rams on Saturday. Richland found their leader in sophomore Jacob Regan, who threw for 182 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 48 yards.
Bishop Guilfoyle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Richland, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Bishop Guilfoyle and Richland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Marauders will square off against Bellefonte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (88 vs. 347). Meanwhile, Richland (ranked 72nd) will meet Westmont Hilltop (ranked 416th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
