Baseball Recap: Morgan Has No Trouble Against Grantsville

Morgan barely beat Grantsville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans put the hurt on the Cowboys with a sharp 14-4 win on Tuesday. Considering the Trojans have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Owen Gilson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Luke Bauerle was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Morgan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grantsville only posted a batting average of .273.

Morgan's record is now 15-6. As for Grantsville, they moved to 10-8 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Morgan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cowboys: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
