On Friday, Oakes is packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Wyndmere/Lidgerwood at 7:00 PM.
Oakes took care of business in their home opener. They blew past Hankinson 35-6. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Oakes had established a 28-6 advantage.
Meanwhile, Wyndmere/Lidgerwood had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 0-35 loss at the hands of LaMoure/Litchville-Marion.
Oakes's lifted them to 1-0 while Wyndmere/Lidgerwood's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Oakes can add another positive mark to their record or if Wyndmere/Lidgerwood can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Oakes's step.
