Bloomfield is 9-1 against North Central since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bloomfield Cardinals will look to defend their home court against the North Central Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bloomfield has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while North Central will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Saturday, Bloomfield was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to Loogootee.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, North Central made off with a 54-53 win over North Vermillion.
North Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Willis led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Hooper, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Bloomfield's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7. As for North Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
