The Paloma Valley Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the West Covina Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Paloma Valley humbled Lakeside with a 46-14 victory. Given Paloma Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Lakeside is ranked 791st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Brady Nelson, who threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Justin Dean made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, West Covina took their game at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over Chaffey. West Covina pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Chaffey had little chance of recovering from.
Paloma Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for West Covina, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
