Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Sandalwood

Sandalwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the ED White Commanders 18-3. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Commanders, too.

Madison Seprish was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Emmie Dawley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Sandalwood hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in six consecutive matches.

Sandalwood's record now sits at 5-8. As for ED White, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Sandalwood will welcome First Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandalwood's pitchers better be ready for this one: First Coast has averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for ED White, they will head out on the road to square off against Parker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parker has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.8 runs per game on average), something ED White will no doubt try to take advantage of.
