Wooster is 8-2 against Ashland since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wooster Generals will be playing at home against the Ashland Arrows at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Wooster focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
Wooster's recent rough patch got a bit rougher after their third straight loss. They took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake. Wooster has struggled against Lake recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Wooster got a solid performance out of Brady Bowen, who scored 18 points. Aidan Holford was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Ashland scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 77-70 victory over Ontario. The win was just what Ashland needed coming off of a 72-49 defeat in their prior contest.
Wooster's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Ashland, their win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-9.
Wooster didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Ashland in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 64-60 win. Will Wooster repeat their success, or does Ashland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
