The Freeport Pretzels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Stillman Valley on the road to the tune of 83-32. That 83-32 margin sets a new team best for Freeport this season.
Freeport found their leader in underclassman Kazion Morehead, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Morehead pulled down eight or more rebounds. Jaeden Marion was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals and three blocks.
The win (which was Freeport's third in a row) raised their record to 7-4. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.33 points. As for Stillman Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Freeport and Fenton will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Fenton is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Stillman Valley will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Marengo at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Marengo comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
