When it comes to explaining why Dakota lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tambre Williams. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Williams is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Samone Andrews was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Grosse Pointe North pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dakota, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2.
Grosse Pointe North will head out on the road to square off against L'Anse Creuse North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. L'Anse Creuse North is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Dakota, they will be playing at home against Port Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
