The Lake City Trojans lost against the Pine River Area Bucks back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lake City was outmatched by the Bucks on the road and fell 57-29. Lake City has not had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Pine River Area found their leader in underclassman Mason Gugle, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Gugle hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Nathan Marks was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Lake City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Pine River Area, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Lake City will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Aggies at 7:00 p.m. As for Pine River Area, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evart is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
