Langston Hughes' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Dyer, who scored 20 points. Dyer continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Catholic, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Douglas County's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10. As for Langston Hughes, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas County will take on the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Paulding County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
