The Demopolis Tigers extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Tallassee Tigers. They managed a 50-45 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back wins for Demopolis.
Despite the loss, Tallassee still got an impressive performance from Rowen Thornton, who scored 19 points. That was a full 42.2% of Tallassee's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Demopolis is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Tallassee, they dropped their record down to 14-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Demopolis will challenge Central of Clay County at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Central of Clay County will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Demopolis surely won't give up without a fight. Tallassee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
