Potomac Valley II recap Sept. 26, 2012
Tucker County was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Barbour 35-14. The Mountain Lions came in at 16 in the state poll after placing at number 37 last week.
Tucker County extended the longest winning streak in Potomac Valley II this week by beating the Colts, 35-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for A.J. Rapp's team.
Tygarts Valley's Brandon Pritt and Timothy Sparks have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pritt has thrown for 229 yards this season, while Sparks, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has six catches for 68 yards. Pocahontas County's Kyler Doss leads the league in rushing yards with 464.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when East Hardy takes on Pendleton County. The Cougars are in second place, while the Wildcat are in third place.
