Volleyball Recap: Windsor Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Windsor Charter Academy lost against Eagle Ridge Academy last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Firebirds fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Windsor Charter Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 18-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-7.

Despite the loss, Windsor Charter Academy still got an impressive performance from Titus Knutson, who had 32 digs and one assist. Knutson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played. Samuel Walker also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Javier Pargas had a dynamite game For Eagle Ridge Academy., getting 26 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Pargas has posted since back in March.

Windsor Charter Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Windsor Charter Academy will challenge rival Arrupe Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Lupton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
