Casady's tournament run continued when they took on Stratford on Saturday. The Cyclones put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cyclones, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Cade Vesta made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.
