Mathews had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 68-44 margin over the Cardinal Huskies. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Huskies are ranked 698th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mathews' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Cardinal, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
