The Langston Hughes Panthers can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They put the hurt on East Paulding with a sharp 60-36 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Langston Hughes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyla Greene, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Greene has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karrell Greene, who scored seven points along with eight steals.
Langston Hughes' win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.2 points. As for East Paulding, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.
Langston Hughes will be playing at home against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglas County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Panthers are ranked 29th). As for East Paulding, they will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Alexander focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
