The Providence Catholic Provets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fox Tech 68-33 at home. That looming 68-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Providence Catholic yet this season.
It was another big night for Kalysta Martin, who shot 7-for-12 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 45 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Providence Catholic's points. Isabella Otero was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Providence Catholic, bringing their record for this year to 8-8. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23 points. As for Fox Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Catholic will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Augustine at 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Fox Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against La Vernia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Vernia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fox Tech in Texas (La Vernia is ranked 226th, while Fox Tech is ranked 1169th).
