The Revere Minutemen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 61-49 victory over Norwayne. For Revere, this counts as revenge for the 58-37 loss Norwayne walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2021.
Despite the defeat, Norwayne saw an underclassman step up: Ava Maibach scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Maibach scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Allie Demassimo, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Revere's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Norwayne, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.
Revere will be playing at home against Normandy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Normandy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. As for Norwayne, they will head out on the road to face off against Cloverleaf at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Norwayne focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
