The Berwick Panthers were the 42-34 winner over the Donaldsonville Tigers when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Berwick was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 32-31 to Donaldsonville.
Despite the defeat, Berwick saw an underclassman step up: Azyria Garrison dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 19 rebounds, and ten blocks. Garrison is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Berwick's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Donaldsonville, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-15.
Berwick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-28 win vs. Centerville on the 8th. Donaldsonville has also already played their next contest, a 60-18 defeat against E.D. White on the 6th.
