The Walther Christian Academy Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Holy Trinity with a sharp 51-27 victory on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Walther Christian Academy.
Walther Christian Academy was led to victory by Saniyya Harvey and Jocelyn Rivera. Harvey scored 14 points along with eight steals, while Rivera scored 13 points along with four steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Harvey has scored at least 25% of Walther Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamia Allen, who scored eight points.
Walther Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Holy Trinity, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walther Christian Academy will take on Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Wednesday. As for Holy Trinity, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cristo Rey Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
