The Troy Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Legacy Christian Academy Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Troy Christian sitting on four straight victories and Legacy Christian Academy on three.
On Tuesday, Troy Christian got the win against Northwestern by a conclusive 10-1. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Judah Simmons made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs.

In other pitching news, Logan Cool tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Logan Broomhall, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of J.B. Walters, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Legacy Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Greenon on Tuesday, taking the game 6-1.
Troy Christian's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their record now sits at 11-6.
Troy Christian beat Legacy Christian Academy 11-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2018. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
