SWARTZ CREEK, Mich. -
Fenton (Mich.) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 22-7 victory over
Swartz Creek (Mich.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Tigers were up 15-0 at the half.
Fenton grew its lead to 22 points entering the fourth quarter. FHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
James Claborn.
Swartz Creek's only touchdown came on a 41-yard pass from
Brendon Fitch to
Jacob Littles in the fourth quarter.
The Tigers came into the game allowing 9.1 points per game. The seven points that the Dragons ended with were well below their average of 36.1 coming into the game.
A 55-28 Fenton victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
In a Flint Metro game next week Swartz Creek (4-4) takes on Linden, and Fenton (8-0) will go up against Lapeer West also in a Flint Metro game.
