The Rockmart Yellowjackets lost against the Cedartown Bulldogs on January 13th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Rockmart lost to Cedartown at home by a decisive 67-50 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rockmart has scored all season.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Samuel Johnson, who scored 16 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Atkins, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Cedartown, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Rockmart and Fannin County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Cedartown, they will head out on the road to challenge Sonoraville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonoraville is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
