The Kennedy Catholic Gaels''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. Their tough 28-7 loss to Fordham Prep might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Kennedy Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 358th, while Fordham Prep is ranked 106th).
Leading Fordham Prep to victory were Jack Mckillop and Jonathan Bailey. Mckillop rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown, while Bailey rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
Kennedy Catholic has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Fordham Prep, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Kennedy Catholic will stay at home for another week and welcome Cardinal Spellman at 6:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Cardinal Spellman comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Fordham Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Peter's at 12:30 p.m. on November 5th.
