Mark Rowland Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Boone Grove got the W thanks in part to Mark Rowland playing the best football he has all season. Rowland threw for 307 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 59 yards.
Whiting's probably not too fond of Rowland given he always seems to get the better of them. Rowland threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground the last time he and the Oilers duked it out back in September of 2023.

On Friday, Boone Grove got the W thanks in part to Samir Del Rio playing the best football he has all season. Del Rio picked up 178 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Boone Grove's success: when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

River Forest pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Silver will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Rensselaer Central on Friday.
