Hayden Hill threw two touchdowns and ran for two more as
Nocona (Texas) bested
Valley View (Texas) 24-8 on Saturday.
The lead that the Nocona took on a touchdown pass by Hill to
Edward Cardoza with 8:00 to go in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
With the win Nocona extended its winning streak to five games. NHS defeated the Lions 33-7 last week.
Landon Boaz played well for the Eagles. The junior running back ran for one touchdown.
Valley View's lone touchdown came on a 50-yard run by Boaz in the second quarter.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Nocona came away with a 15-6 victory.
The loss comes after Valley View defeated S & S Consolidated 20-13 last week.
Valley View (2-3) goes up against Chico in a 1A-1 Region II District 7 game matchup next week, while Nocona (5-0) locks horns with Alvord in a 2A-2 Region II District 5 game.
