The Bryant Hurricanes's 11-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They secured a 55-50 W over Robertsdale. The win was just what Bryant needed coming off of a 73-37 loss in their prior matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Robertsdale lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gabe Stevens. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points. The matchup was Stevens' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tanner Williams, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and nine assists.
Bryant's victory bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Robertsdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bryant will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Baker at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Robertsdale and Chickasaw will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Chickasaw will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
