Dunbar's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zaria Ballard, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and six blocks. Another player making a difference was Sa'rai Ridley, who scored three points along with seven rebounds.
Dunbar has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Franklin Monroe, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.
Dunbar on the road again on Monday and play against Meadowdale at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. The timing is sure in Meadowdale's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Dunbar has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
