Boardman lost to Walsh Jesuit back in February of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Boardman Spartans walked away with a 48-41 victory over the Walsh Jesuit Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Despite the loss, Walsh Jesuit saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kara Esterak posted 18 points. Esterak's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kami Digennaro was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Boardman's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Walsh Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Boardman won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Beaver at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Walsh Jesuit, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Springfield at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
