For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lewiston and Mt. Blue meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Cougars. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by just one run.

The victory got Lewiston back to even at 6-6. As for Mt. Blue, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lewiston will square off against rival Brunswick at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mt. Blue is set to challenge their familiar foe Hampden at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
