On January 5th, Lucas Christian Academy took a serious blow against Coram Deo Academy, falling 67-17. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lucas Christian Academy in their matchups with Coram Deo Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Yavneh Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 65-31 win over Lakehill Prep at home. Yavneh Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
Yavneh Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilly Yalovsky out in front who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Rael, who scored 12 points.
Lucas Christian Academy bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Yavneh Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Lucas Christian Academy was taken down by Yavneh Academy 69-17 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lucas Christian Academy was down 36-5.
