The Marion County Warriors will face off against the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Marion County has five straight wins, Warren County has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, Marion County needed a bit of extra time to put away Bledsoe County. They had just enough and edged out Bledsoe County 4-3. Four seems to be a good number for Marion County as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eli Thacker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Jayden Calhoon was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Warren County lost 9-2 to Columbia Central on Wednesday.
Evan Snapp was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits.
On the hitting side, Warren County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayven Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
Marion County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Warren County, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Marion County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Warren County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
