Sean Murphy Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Mascoutah's Sean Murphy, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Murphy's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.
Mascoutah's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5. Murphy and Mascoutah will challenge Carbondale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ian Dempsey Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Triad got the W thanks in part to Ian Dempsey playing the best football he has all season. Dempsey picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.all of that, rushing production came thanks to one massive run
Dempsey is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Collinsville on Friday. Dempsey picked up 165 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Kahoks duked it out back in October of 2023.

Brad Hasquin Turns in Season-Best Effort
Brad Hasquin produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Triad to the win on Friday. Hasquin threw for 159 yards and five touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing. The effort also marked the most rushing yards (14) he has had since back in August.
On the season, Hasquin has thrown 6 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 26.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 22.14 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 89.08 passer rating.

Triad was led to victory by Mac Musgrave, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Musgrave picked up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
