St. Elizabeth has gone 7-1 against New Bloomfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The St. Elizabeth Hornets will look to defend their home court against the New Bloomfield Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in St. Elizabeth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.

Gavin Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. He also grabbed six steals, which is notable because St. Elizabeth is 10-2 when he posts at least three steals, but 6-7 otherwise. Nick Heckemeyer was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.
St. Elizabeth smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, New Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Harrisburg and fell 76-29. The Wildcats were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 55 points in the three matchups prior), but the Bulldogs' defense proved too tough.
Despite the defeat, New Bloomfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Trenton Boessen posted ten points.
St. Elizabeth is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. New Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-17.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: St. Elizabeth has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like New Bloomfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
St. Elizabeth didn't have too much breathing room in their game against New Bloomfield in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 65-61 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was New Bloomfield's Jacob Fuhriman, who went 10-for-20 to rack up 25 points and six steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will St. Elizabeth still be able to contain Fuhriman? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
