Seton Hall Prep's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against West Essex as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Seton Hall Prep gave Patrick Cassels the start and clearly made the right call: he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Cassels posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025.
On the hitting side, Jordan Burwell was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier McKnight, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Seton Hall Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Nutley didn't have quite enough to beat Bernards on Tuesday and fell 5-3.
Nutley also got a good showing from Nick Gaccione, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
Seton Hall Prep's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Nutley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Nutley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Seton Hall Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. It's a different story for Nutley, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Seton Hall Prep's hitters?
