Cheswick Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Geibel Catholic Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Geibel Catholic took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Cheswick Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.
Cheswick Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 60-42 win over Portersville Christian.
Meanwhile, Geibel Catholic was beaten by Marion Center 64-31 on Saturday. Geibel Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, Geibel Catholic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Seth Dolan, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals, was perhaps the best of all. Dolan scored a full 41.9% of Geibel Catholic's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Jellots, who scored 5 points.
Cheswick Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Geibel Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
