The Burbank Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arcadia. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Burbank in their matchups with Arcadia: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Odartey Blankson, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds. Blankson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Kamran Alborzian was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Mansour Senneh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Arcadia, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Senneh hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Winn iii, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Burbank has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for Arcadia, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7.
Burbank will head out on the road to square off against Pasadena at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Pasadena's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Burbank has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Arcadia won't have much time to rest: their next match is against South Pasadena at 8:30 p.m. on January 20th. One thing working in South Pasadena's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
