Isle of Wight Academy can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Oaktree Academy by a score of 64-55. The Chargers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Oaktree Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Caleb Reeves and Trey Mozingo. Reeves dropped a double-double on 11 points and 24 boards, while Mozingo posted 18 points. Aslan Alkire was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

Isle of Wight Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Oaktree Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Isle of Wight Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 80-33 loss against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on the 13th. As for Oaktree Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Summit Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
