Basketball Recap: Bolton Sets Scoring Season-High Against Craigmont

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Memphis Central, Bolton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Craigmont Chiefs as the Bolton Wildcats made off with a 101-81 victory. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Bolton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from E'Darian Washington, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 21 points and four steals. The matchup was Washington's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylan Collins, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points and five steals.

Bolton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.0 points per game. As for Craigmont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Bolton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-65 defeat against Millington Central on the 21st. After both having extra time off, Craigmont and Raleigh-Egypt will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Craigmont is facing Raleigh-Egypt at the right time seeing as Raleigh-Egypt is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
