The Fox Chapel Foxes will challenge the Valley Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fox Chapel will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
On Monday, Fox Chapel earned a 4-1 win over North Allegheny.
Tristan Blum was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Antonio LeDonne was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Highlands on Wednesday, taking the game 6-3. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Golden Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Like Fox Chapel, Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Nikolas Heakins. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Heakins also tossed a walk, which is notable because Valley is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-7 otherwise. Heakins was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Heakins wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Julian Danko, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Fox Chapel pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Fox Chapel took their win against Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 14-5 score. Will the Foxes repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
