The Central Rebels will take on the Chester Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Central made easy work of Valle Catholic and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.
Vivian Sisk spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rylee Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kamryn Fraley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Chester was able to grind out a solid win over Carlyle on Thursday, taking the game 5-2.
Lexie Mott made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Mott was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Camryn Wolff was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Maggie Caby, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Chester, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like Chester struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
