Jacobs and Barrington are an even 3-3 against one another  since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Jacobs Golden Eagles will square off against the Barrington Fillies/Broncos at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
While Golden Eagles fans will have to keep waiting for their  team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's  season opener. They won by a  run and slipped past Johnsburg  3-2. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Skyhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive  victory against them.
 Braden Behrens looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate,  Andrew Deegan was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Meanwhile, Barrington kicked off their season  on Tuesday but they'll have to wait until their next  matchup for a more definitive result. They and Prairie Ridge finished up their  game with  a  1-1 tie.
 Jacobs might still be hurting after the  12-3 defeat they got from Barrington  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. Can Jacobs avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
