Lafayette posted their biggest victory since December 19, 2024 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Carencro Bears as the Lafayette Lions made off with a 66-45 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Lafayette's third in a row) raised their record to 19-14. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Carencro, their loss dropped their record down to 14-22.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will challenge Acadiana at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carencro, they will face off against Sam Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carencro is facing Sam Houston at the right time seeing as Sam Houston is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
