The Liberty Union Lions won the last time they faced the Westfall Mustangs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Liberty Union walked away with a 45-36 win over Westfall. The win made it back-to-back wins for Liberty Union.
Among those leading the charge was Ella Brown, who scored 20 points along with three blocks and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Macey Smith was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Liberty Union has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for Westfall, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Union won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hamilton Township at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Westfall, they will head out on the road to challenge Unioto at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Unioto's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while Westfall has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
