Having just played yesterday, the Booker T. Washington Lions will jump right back in to play the Lancaster Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Booker T. Washington has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Lancaster will arrive with four straight wins.
On Wednesday, Booker T. Washington was beaten by Fort Bend Elkins 71-34. While losing is never fun, Booker T. Washington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 225th in Louisiana, while Fort Bend Elkins is ranked 107th in Texas).
Meanwhile, Lancaster's game last Tuesday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 65-56 victory over Crandall. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Booker T. Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lancaster, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
