The Campbell County Camels had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past South with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 67-53. The victory was just what Campbell County needed coming off of a 83-63 loss in their prior contest.
Lane Hladky was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Masteller, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Campbell County's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10. As for South, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.
Campbell County will head out on the road to square off against the Plainsmen at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Laramie's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bolts at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
