The George County Rebels will take on the Hernando Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. George County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
George County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Center Hill with a sharp 9-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Carson Pierce was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, Cayler Havard was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2025.
George County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Hernando made sure to put some runs up on the board against Petal on Wednesday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Panthers 10-9.
The team relied heavily on Eli Bagley, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Cade Koczka, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
George County's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Hernando, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. George County has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hernando struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.8 strikeouts.
