Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Chapman). Their defense stepped up to hand the Broome Centurions  a   13-0 shutout  on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what Chapman needed considering they were shut out in their previous   match.
Chapman's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-2. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero  goals over those five  games. As for Broome,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-7.
 Chapman and Broome will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  contests. The next time the Panthers see the pitch they'll take on Greer Middle College  at 7:30  p.m.  on  the 15th. As for Broome, their break will end when they face Woodruff  at 7:15  p.m.  on  the 15th.
